Tuesday, Mar. 18 -- US Army Corps of Engineers public hearings on St. Lawrence Cement application, Columbia Greene Community College Arts Center Auditorium (two sessions: 1-4:30 pm, 6-11 pm) in Greenport, on Route 23 near the intersection of Middle Road (between the Rip Van Winkle Bridge and Route 9). ALSO: NEW -- The Corps has announced an additional hearing the following day on Wednesday, Mar. 19 from 1-3 pm, same location.

Saturday, Mar. 8 -- Friends of Hudson annual members party at St. Mary's Academy, corner of 3rd and Allen Streets in Hudson (7-10 pm). Click HERE to see pictures of the event!



Wednesday, Mar. 5 -- Day 4 of NYS DEC adjudicatory hearings on whether to "ungrandfather" the 1,222-acre St. Lawrence Cement quarry (9 am - 4 pm with half hour lunch break). More hearing dates may be announced if necessary.
